First up: what is a haptic vest?
Let’s start with haptics. That tiny vibration you feel when you type or toggle apps on your phone? That's a haptic. A haptic vest takes this vibration to a whole new level. It’s a wearable sensation device that delivers haptic feedback directly to your body. Through six haptic units across the vest, it converts sound to movement, making every note a physical experience.
“Haptic vests are often used in gaming to give you the impression that you’re right there,” explains Adam Nicholas, Polygon’s Chief Marketing Officer. “A hard landing sends a jolt up your body, an explosion going off ricochets through your chest. In live events, they’re only just gaining momentum, although they’ve been used to enhance concerts for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.”
By introducing them to our soundstage, we’re imprinting the sound on your body, making your experience as rich and as memorable as possible.
How does it work at Polygon?
“Our expert sound engineers connect the haptic vests to our system’s left and right channels,” says Adam. “When you wear the vest, it transforms the music into physical sensations that resonate throughout your body. It feels like you’re dissolving into the music. Like you’re one with it.

But don’t worry — you're in control. You can adjust the intensity of the vibrations with the vest's dials depending on what feels best for you.
